My family and friends were please with the exceptional service we received from a very professional and considerate staff. Everything was organized and well presented. I don’t think my mother could have asked for a better service.

Benjamin Wesley Hodge, Jr., 32, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at University of Louisville Hospital. Ben was an Army veteran serving three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, a machinist for Amatrol, and a member of Kings Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Margaret Hodge; and his great grandmother, Virginia Smith. Ben is survived by his wife, Mary Hodge; two children, Wesley and Naomi Hodge; his father, Benjamin Hodge, Sr. (Teresa); mother, Libby Henry (Randy); one brother, Joshua Hodge (Stacie); sister, Emily Hodge (Nolan); grandparents, Edward and Brenda Henry; and niece and nephew, Kimber Hodge and Weston Sanders; father-in-law, Martin Vazquez; mother-in-law, Sandra Rivera; brothers-in-law, Martin and Jesus Vazquez; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Vazquez Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Red Cross in his memory.
