My family and friends were please with the exceptional service we received from a very professional and considerate staff. Everything was organized and well presented. I don’t think my mother could have asked for a better service.

Charles Lee Sims, Sr., 74, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2018. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran and a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Breeden Cassidy. Charles is survived by his wife, Florida Sims; two sons, Charles Jr. (Shannie) and James Sims; his father, Jesse Sims (Jean); stepfather, John Cassidy; four sisters, Judith Sims, Gloria Shirley, Mary Beth "Betsy" Youngman and Jessica McGee (Walter); three brothers, James (Linda), David (Davette), and Steve Cassidy; nieces, Stacie Robinson (Larry), Stephanie Pound (Thomas), Kourtney Hardin, Selena Raines (Jayd), Ashley McGee,; Nephew, Kyle Hardin (Peggy); Great-nieces, Hadley Raines and Grace Hardin; Great-nephew, Hayden Raines; along with three grandchildren, Shawn Smith, Brittany Sims, and Katrina Bratcher; and three great grandchildren, Braelyn, Luke and Piper Bratcher. Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. Friends may visit from 5 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial gifts are suggested to Riverview Baptist Church.
