David William Mattingly

David William Mattingly, 60, of Mount Washington, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.  David was a native of Louisville, a retired employee of LG&E, and an avid car collector.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Glazebrook Mattingly; along with a brother, Marc Mattingly.  He is survived by his wife, Sandra Riley Mattingly;  two children, Bradley W. Mattingly and Leslee Pruitt (Justin);  three siblings, Cheryl Quiros (Manfredo), Lynn Hand, and Darren "Butch" Mattingly (Melissa);  his father, William Mattingly;  along with two grandchildren, Ashton and Wyatt Pruitt.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mount Washington Cemetery.  Friends may visit from 3-8 p.m.  Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus.


I am so sorry that I am not able to be there with the family to mourn the loss of David. He fought a LONG, HARD fight, but now, he and Marc are together again with Aunt Dorothy! Please know that the entire family will remain in my thoughts and prayers in the next days, weeks and months! Love to All!! Theresa
