My family and friends were please with the exceptional service we received from a very professional and considerate staff. Everything was organized and well presented. I don’t think my mother could have asked for a better service.

Elmira Elizabeth Hagan McMillin, 84, returned to the Lord on Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home. She retired from Woolworth after 35 years of service, and was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Elmira was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McMillin; her parents, Wertie and Evie Hagan; siblings, Kenneth Hagan, David Hagan, and Linda Ford; and her son-in-law, Kenny Ashby. Left to cherish her memory, Judy Ashby, Jim McMillin (Joan), Vicki Lyvers (Freddy); siblings, Sue Vititoe (Bill)and Kay Fletcher; grandchildren, Kerry Ashby (Brooke), Jason Ashby, Joyce Curtsinger, Kevin Borland (Stephanie), and Derrick Lyvers (Katie); great grandchildren, Shelby Davis (A.J.), Jake Borland, Joe Coulter, Jesse Curtsinger, Turner, Tate, Titus, Genesis, Shawn, and Jude Ashby; one great-great grandson, Colton Davis and one soon to be born; along with numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many friends. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home. Friends may visit from noon until time of service on Friday. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens.
