My family and friends were please with the exceptional service we received from a very professional and considerate staff. Everything was organized and well presented. I don’t think my mother could have asked for a better service.

Ernest Wilman Satterly, 88, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Monday, February 4, 2019. Ernest was a barber for 59 years and helped to establish Hair Business in Mt. Washington. He was a retired employee of TARC, where he worked for 26 years, a U. S. Marine Corp. veteran, a member of Salt River Masonic Lodge #180, and New Hope Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Satterly Kelly; a grandson, Monte Buky; and his sister, Levon Coulter. Ernest is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille Satterly; a daughter, Melissa Cravens (Larry); a son, Wayne Smith (Sue); 8 Grandchildren, Adam Vires, Ashley Ploetner, Nick Cravens, Wayne Smith, Jr., Linda Shaw, Tiffany Woosley, Kendra Saleno, and Christie Struck; 21 Great Grandchildren; a nephew, Gary Coulter (Sandy); along with two great nephews, Wesley Parkerson and Lance Coulter. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highvew Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
