My family and friends were please with the exceptional service we received from a very professional and considerate staff. Everything was organized and well presented. I don’t think my mother could have asked for a better service.

Floyd "Tommy" Sanders, 78, of Mt. Washington, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at his home. He was a retired employee of General Electric and the Peddlers Mall, and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Sanders; his parents, Guy and Dorothy Trent Sanders; and brothers, Bobby, William, and Pete Sanders. Tommy is survived by three children, Gary (Lisa) Sanders, Anita Freeman (Charles), and Monica Winters (Kenny); his former son-in-law, David Nethery; four sisters, Corine Fawbush, Lou Lewis, Brenda Sink, and Debbie Wedding; three brothers, Jack, Larry, and Kenny Sanders; along with 11 Grandchildren, Tara (Roger Baker), Cathy (Carlin Sanders), Jeremy (Courtney), Andrea (Troy), and Chris (Ashley) Freeman, Amber Underhill (Greg), Melissa Nethery (Jared), Davey Nethery (Lexie), Elisha Clark (Matt), Jarret Sanders (Chelsea), and James Sanders; and 25 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Memorial gifts are suggested to Hosparus of Louisville.
