Jacob Allen Linton, 17, of Jeffersontown, returned to the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2019.  Jacob was a senior at Whitefield Academy and a member of Southeast Christian Church.  He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and riding his motorcycle.  He will be deeply missed by his parents, David and Carol Linton; his brother, Tyler Linton; grandparents, Gerald Linton and Linda Burger; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Southeast Christian Church, Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Road, Louisville, KY 40299.  Guests are asked to park at the main campus in Lot A, and meet under the portico for a shuttle to the service.  Friends may visit from 3-7 p.m. Thursday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, 111 N Bardstown Rd. Mount Washington, KY.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Jacob's memory are suggested to Whitefield Academy.

Condolences

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know your son Jacob, but the photo of this handsome young man caught my eye and I wanted to express my condolences to you. When death robs us of one we love, we can lean on "the God of all comfort" (2 Cor. 1:3,4) and find hope in His promise to soon undo 'all tears, pain and even death' (Rev. 21:4). Many have found jw.org to be invaluable in answering questions about suffering and the hope for the future. PLEASE know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Your family is in my prayers.

Words cannot express how sorry we are for your loss. Please know that the whole family is in our thoughts and prayers. Joe & Debbie Morrison
David, Carol, and Tyler, I do not have the words to express my deep sorrow for your loss. I enjoyed so much seeing Jacob and Tyler at the lake and hearing about their great adventures. Your boys are always so kind and helpful to us whether it was building a fence or just hanging out on your porch at the lake. Jacob takes after his Dad and can build or fix anything. I will miss his kind heart and smile. You are all in my prayers and know Jesus is taking care of him now. I pray that you feel his loving arms around you as you face this difficult time. Love you, Brenda and John
I'm so sorry for your loss -- a young life is that much sadder. I worked with Linda Burger at SCC. I will be in prayer for the family. Bonnie Middleton
