I am sure my grandmother is very pleased with the dignity and care given for her final goodbye. The celebration was uplifting and flawless and my family and I will be forever grateful.

James C. Brown, 66, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home. He was a retired employee of Worthington Steel, a member of Kings Baptist Church, and currently attended Living Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Woodrow and Anna Mae Brown; and a brother, Ronnie Brown. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Smith Brown; one son, James Michael Brown; three brothers, Lloyd Wayne, Roger Allen, and Robert Joseph Brown; four sisters, Lois Mae Woods, Linda Carol Rogers, Bonnie Gail Lang, and Patricia Ann Miller; along with his grandson, Michael Tyler Brown. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
