James Robert "Pete" Stallings, 79, of Mt. Washington, passed away on October 31, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Mt. Washington, a retired welder for Pipefitters Local 522, and a member of Vision Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Annie Frances Stallings. Pete is survived by one daughter, Laquita Collins (Sam); three grandchildren, Nicole Briggs, Isaiah and Zachary Arvin; two great grandchildren, Landon Stallings and Easton Arvin; and his former wife, Carol Stallings. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday. Memorial gifts are suggested to Hosparus of Louisville.
