I am sure my grandmother is very pleased with the dignity and care given for her final goodbye. The celebration was uplifting and flawless and my family and I will be forever grateful.
November 13, 1942 — March 21, 2013
Norman Richard Lemme departed his earthly life on March 21, 2013 while in Hollywood, Florida. His final days were spent with family and friends and watching Spring baseball games of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Norman was a native of St. Louis, but lived and practiced law in Bullitt County for over 40 years. He retired from private practice 12 years ago, but at the time of his death served as the Mt. Washington City Attorney. He was a member of Mt. Washington United Methodist Church, Bullitt Masonic Lodge #155 and Salt River Masonic Lodge #180.
He is survived by his family including his son Matthew Richard Lemme (Holli); daughter Claire Juliana Lemme (Carlos Sulsona); and by Rachel McKelvey, the daughter of his beloved late wife, Linda. He is survived by four grandchildren; Abigail C. Lemme, Mark Richard Lemme, Maya Camille Sulsona, and Juliette Leilani Sulsona.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Norman Floyd Lemme and Adele Kelleher Lemme.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mt. Washington United Methodist Church with burial in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
