Doris Marie Tindle, 87, of Louisville, returned to the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Flaget Memorial Hospital. Doris was a devoted homemaker, a beautician, and a licensed pastor, serving over 29 years along side of her late husband, Henry Tindle. She was led to the Church of God of Prophecy by Flossie and Dwight Humphrey and Sister Mary Cook. She became a longtime member of Shepherdsville Church of God of Prophecy. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Roderick "Rowdy" Tindle; her parents, Roscoe and Edith Sweazy; along with siblings, Garnett, Eddie, Edna, Minnie, Margie, Mary, Vena, and Carrie. Doris is survived by a son, James Edgar Tindle (Carrie); daughter-in-law, Carla; one sister, Martha Riley; grandchildren, Christopher Shannon, Brandon James, Chad Michael, and Justin Tindle, Heather Evans; seven great grandchildren, Katy Ann, Wyatt, Grayson, Easton, Adalyn, Jillian, and Jack. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highview Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Louisville Metro Animal Services, 3528 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40218
