Jason Troy Morris, 44, of Columbia, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Jason was born to Gary and Vickey Morris on June 11, 1979 in Louisville, KY. Jason was a devoted husband, father, son, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend. His proudest achievements in life was raising his five children with his wife by his side. Jason attended Elizabethtown High School where he enjoyed playing football as their guard and tackle during his school career. Aside from his love for football, Jason shared many interests and hobbies, such as coaching youth baseball for his children and community, an avid hunter, fisherman, and chicken hobbyist; but none was as important to him as being a dad and grandpa. Jason loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren as much as possible by attending their sporting events, birthdays, and every life event in between. Jason also enjoyed being on Green River with his family by his side every chance he could. Jason enjoyed life, whether it was working outside or enjoying peaceful moments on the lake with his best friend, Gayle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ford and Bobbi Sue Morris; grandfather, George Morgan; his uncle, Steven Morris; and daughter-in-law, Deirdre Morris. Jason is survived by his parents, Gary and Vickey Morris; his loving wife of 14 years, Gayle Morris; his children, Alex, Austin, Siara, Abi Marie, and Abby Grace; his brothers, Gary and Derrick; his grandmother, Joyce Palmer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Gerri Bowlin; along with six beloved grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. While Jason left us far too soon, his fun loving personality and ability to care for others will leave a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come. In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen. A celebration of life will be held to honor Jason within the upcoming months for family and friends. Invitations will follow.
