Robert "Bob" Marshall Hearin, 84, of Taylorsville, peacefully passed into his eternal home in Heaven on August 6, 2018. He is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, and mentor to many. He was proud to be a veteran of the United States Army 101st airborne paratrooper division and the 80th battery division, retired basketball coach, school teacher, and successful business owner. However, he was most proud and fulfilled when serving the Lord, and others, as a member and teacher of the Word within several local church congregations throughout his lifetime. He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Marshall Hearin; his mother, Marie Adele Underhill Hearin; and his sister, Suzanne Hearin. He is survived by his wife, Laura "Pat" Hearin; sons, John (Stephanie) and Troy Hearin; his daughters, Alisa Rogers (Greg) and Stephanie Nicholson (Scotty); his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kenneth), Daniel (Shirley), Benjamin (Grace Ann), Thomas (Cayli); great grandchildren, Ashton and Paris Aldridge; along with his beloved sister and brothers-in-law, Marcella Helton, Blond Holt, and their families. Memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 10 Dogwood Circle, Taylorsville, KY 40071. Memorial gifts in his memory may be made to Hosparus of Louisville.
