I am sure my grandmother is very pleased with the dignity and care given for her final goodbye. The celebration was uplifting and flawless and my family and I will be forever grateful.

Freddie N. Armstrong, 75, of Mt. Washington, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. Freddie was a 1961 graduate of Mt. Washington High School, a U.S. Airforce Vietnam veteran, a member of Mt. Washington Lions Club, and First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington. He retired as a superintendent at Ford Motor Company after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Marion Armstrong; his brothers, Don Farrell, Glenn, H. Kendal, George B., and Aaron Armstrong; and sister, Cherry L. Stewart and Ramona A. Harrington. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Cox Armstrong; one daughter, Melanie Lutes (Randy); a sister, Maxine Romine; one brother, Barry Armstrong; along with three grandchildren, Randi Gail, Jamie, and Kelli. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may visit from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday. Memorial gifts are suggested to First Baptist Church.
