I am sure my grandmother is very pleased with the dignity and care given for her final goodbye. The celebration was uplifting and flawless and my family and I will be forever grateful.
Eleanor McFarland Troutman was the fifth generation. Her and her husband, Gayle, owned and operated the funeral home until 1996. Gayle served as county coroner and Mt. Washington Fire Chief for many years. He currently serves the community as a city councilman and board member for Salt River Rural Electric. They are both members of First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.
In 1996, the Laura Proffitt Rideout and her family bought and carried on the tradition of our family serving your family. Laura worked for the Troutman’s for three years before acquiring ownership.
Laura is a member of Mt. Washington Lioness Club, Mt. Washington Historical Society, Order of The Eastern Star Chapter 552, and First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.
Jonathan Rideout has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for nearly 20 years and has been serving on the staff since 2006. Jonathan is a member of Mt. Washington Lions Club, Saltriver Masonic Lodge #180, and First Baptist Church of Mt. Washington.
We are pleased to have David Jenkins on our staff. David has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for almost 30 years. He was the former owner of Greenwell-Jenkins Funeral Home in Taylorsville, KY, and has been serving on our staff since 2011. David is a member of Kings Baptist Church in Taylorsville.
