William C. "Bill" Cutler, Sr., 83, died Monday, January 8, 2018 at Baptist Health in Louisville. Mr. Cutler was a native of Macon, GA, where he was born on June 19, 1934. He graduated from Lanier High School for Boys and Auburn University, a place he felt dear to his heart. His business career was spent mostly in Macon in mortgage and commercial banking. In 1996, he retired as Executive Director of Macon-Bibb Housing Association. He was active in many community and volunteer organizations throughout his business career. He participated in Macon Chamber of Commerce, Macon Downtown Lions Club functions, and was a member of Idle Hour Golf and Country Club, an the Macon Elks Lodge. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. He was preceded in death by his father, John M. Cutler, Jr.; his mother, Marie Louis Callaway Cutler Griffith; his stepfather, Arthur Griffith, Sr.; and brothers, Col. John M. Cutler and Duncan Brown Cutler. Bill is survived by a son, William C. "Cal" Cutler, Jr. (Terry); a granddaughter, Layne C. Cutler; along with several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington, KY. McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Methodist Epworth by the Sea, 100 Arthur J.
